About the Energy Savings Plan (ESP)

Vision Statement: ESP’s vision is to provide easy access to energy efficiency experts, resources, and incentives so that BC can become Canada's leader in reducing energy consumption.

Mission Statement: ESP was designed as a communication vehicle to assist the province of BC and its partners in meeting its 2010 energy targets. Our goal is to consolidate energy efficiency information to help residents, building owners, developers, property managers, and municipalities access information on energy efficiency in buildings in BC. With several programs and services being offered through multiple channels, ESP aims to reduce the amount of confusion for all individuals and organizations that are striving to become more energy efficient.

The ESP program strives to help you increase the comfort of your homes, save money on your energy bills and give back to the environment.

The ESP website is a product of the BC Ministry of Energy, Mines and Petroleum Resources'(MEMPR) Community Action on Energy Efficiency (CAEE) program. It was originally designed as part of the ESP pilot incentive program that was conducted from March 2006 - March 2007:
